Guy Mertens

Guy Mertens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in private equity, real estate investments, and board governance. Currently serving as a Partner at Buysse & Partners since April 2009, Mertens has held various leadership roles including General Manager for both Smart Living and Smart Assets, focusing on residential real estate and iconic buildings in the BeNeLux. Additional board positions include Member of the Board of Directors at Twikit and Global Port Training, and President of the Board of Directors at Re-Vive, a real estate developer reactivating brownfields. Previous roles include significant managerial positions at Aviapartner and KBC Bank & Verzekering. Mertens holds degrees in law and international taxation from respected institutions, including Ghent University and Ichec Brussels Management School.
