Jon Stairs

Jon Stairs has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Database Administrator at Cognos until 2003. In 2004, they joined Kal Tire as a DBA and later moved to Pythian in 2006, where they worked as a DBA until 2008. From 2008 to 2019, Jon worked at PrinterOn as a Senior DBA. In 2018, they joined HP as a DevOps Tech Lead until 2019. Following this, they worked at Numerator as a DevOps Engineer from 2019 to 2022. Recently, Jon started working at Telesat in 2021, where they served as a Senior Cloud Engineer until 2022. Currently, they are working as a Cloud Engineer at Rewind since 2022.

Jon Stairs attended the University of Waterloo from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMATH) degree with a major in Computer Science. In 2002, they enrolled at the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and completed a Diploma in the Oracle Database Administrator and Developer Program in 2003. Additionally, in September 2003, Jon obtained the OCP certification from Oracle.
