REWIRE connects world-leading semiconductor research with real-world commercial outcomes - accelerating the development of next-generation power electronics through flexible, low-barrier collaborations across industry and academia.
We offer access to cutting-edge expertise, facilities, connections, and insight to help partners de-risk innovation, shape the semiconductor roadmap, influence policy and bring breakthrough materials like SiC, GaN, and Ga₂O₃ closer to market.
We work to translate the next generation of high-voltage wide and ultra-wide bandgap compound semiconductor devices into pioneering technologies - delivering new products to market, driving growth in the UK semiconductor sector, and accelerating the UK’s net-zero ambitions.
REWIRE is an Innovation and Knowledge Centre (IKC) funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Innovate UK, both part of UK Research and Innovation. The program is delivered by world-leading academic teams at the Universities of Bristol, Cambridge and Warwick.
