Gill Shabo

Gill Shabo is an experienced software developer with a robust background in backend development and cloud-native architecture. Currently employed at Remitly Israel (formerly Rewire) since September 2025, Gill has previously worked as a software engineer at NICE, where significant contributions included designing backend microservices for real-time transcription pipelines. Prior roles include development team lead at Urecsys, overseeing the creation of innovative air quality monitoring systems using cloud technologies, and software developer focused on backend systems and data pipelines. Earlier in Gill's career, experiences included implementing healthcare systems at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and serving as an intel soldier in Israeli Military Intelligence. Gill holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
