Or Kaplan

Or Kaplan has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Or began their career in 2003 as a senior software engineer in the IDF. Or then worked at Radware as a software engineer before moving on to RockeTier Technologies, where they served as a team leader.

In 2008, Or Kaplan co-founded Runthevoo, an early-stage web 2.0 startup. Or took on the role of co-founder and software developer, overseeing high-level design, architecture, and all aspects of web development.

Or Kaplan then joined Microsoft in 2009, starting as a software development engineer intern before progressing to roles such as software development engineer and software development engineer on the App Recommendation and Bing Mobile teams. Throughout their time at Microsoft, they worked on developing recommendation engines, location-based services, and applications.

After Microsoft, Or Kaplan joined Crosswise Ltd. as a senior software engineer, where they worked until 2016. Or then transitioned to Oracle, where they initially served as a principal software engineer and later as a senior manager of engineering, leading the integration and development of the Crosswise product.

Currently, Or Kaplan is employed at Remitly Israel (formerly Rewire). Or began as a senior software engineer, leading backend and infrastructure development. Or then progressed to the role of engineering manager and is currently serving as the senior director of engineering.

Throughout their career, Or Kaplan has demonstrated expertise in various domains, including backend development, devops, data pipeline optimization, and product integration.

Or Kaplan obtained a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering) from Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Or has a certification in Python Development Course from LearnX.org, obtained in 2021.
