Mel Cook

Mel Cook is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, and compliance. Currently serving as the Manager of Internal Audit & Consulting at Rexel USA since July 2022, Mel previously held key leadership positions at Mr. Cooper, including Assistant Vice President of Risk & Compliance/Third Party Risk Governance and Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit from 2016 to August 2022. Additional experience includes managing internal audit and SOX compliance at USMD Health System, prior roles at Trinity Church Dallas in accounting and operations, and senior-level positions in internal audit at Lehigh Hanson and DART. Mel's career began at Standard Chartered Bank as a Cash Flow/Liquidity Manager, followed by a general accountant role at Sofitel and auditing positions at SGV & Co, CPAs. Mel Cook holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from De La Salle University.
