Nada Ibrahim

Associate Director, Head of Chemistry at Ixaka

Nada Ibrahim has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Their most recent role is as the Associate Director and Head of Chemistry at Ixaka, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Imescia, a start-up spin-off from Institut Galien, as the Head of Chemistry from October 2019 to September 2022. In this role, they led the chemical strategy, managed a team of chemists, and was involved in the design, synthesis, and characterization of polymer-drug conjugates. Nada also led collaborations with academic members and wrote fund-raising proposals.

Before their time at Imescia, Nada was a Research Fellow at Institut Galien, Université Paris-Saclay from 2018 to 2019. Nada also served as a Research Fellow at BioCIS, Université Paris-Saclay from 2016 to 2017.

Nada took a maternity leave from 2013 to 2015 and before that, they worked as a Temporary Associate Lecturer and Researcher (ATER) at CNAM Ile de France from 2012 to 2013, and at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne from 2011 to 2012. Nada was also a Research Fellow at Catalysis Research Laboratory (CaRLa) from 2010 to 2011, and completed their PhD at Institut Curie from 2006 to 2010.

Nada Ibrahim obtained a Master's degree in bioorganic and bioinorganic chemistry from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) from 2005 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in organic and medicinal chemistry at the same university from 2007 to 2010. In 2014, Nada pursued a university degree in pharmaceutical bioinformatics at Uppsala University.
