Jonathan Hicks has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. In that year, they began working as a Student Ambassador at the University of Manchester School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. In 2018, they became the Head Coach of Manchester University Canoe Club (MUCC) and also began working as a Paddlesport Coach for Young Bristol. In 2019, they were an intern at Satellite Applications Catapult as part of their Space Placement in Industry (SPIN) program. Currently, they are working as a Customer Success Manager for Water Products and Associate Geospatial Data Analyst at Rezatec. In their role as a Paddlesport Instructor for Young Bristol, they ran sessions with groups of around 10 or so in different paddle-sport areas and helped coach more advanced kayaking techniques to more experienced paddlers.
Jonathan Hicks attended Bristol North Post 16 Centre from 2013 to 2015, where they completed A-Levels in Maths, Geography, Physics (+Further Maths). Jonathan then attended The University of Manchester from 2015 to 2019, where they earned an MEarthSci Geology with Planetary Science in the field of Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. In 2016, they also attended Umeå University for a course in Planetary Exploration. In July 2022, Jonathan Hicks obtained a Salesforce Essential Training certification from LinkedIn.
