Michael Brookins

Michael Brookins has over 16 years of experience in quality assurance. Michael currently works as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at RF-SMART since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer III at Payspan, Inc. from August 2019 to October 2021, where they were responsible for quality assurance of Payspan's CORE application. Before that, they were a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer / Lead Technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton from May 2017 to July 2019, where they mentored junior team members and assisted in establishing standard operating procedures. Michael also worked as a Quality Assurance Team Lead at Piksel Inc. from August 2016 to May 2017, leading the QA for client AT&T's Uverse.com web and mobile applications. Earlier in their career, they held various roles such as Senior Quality Assurance Lead at Benefitfocus, Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at D+H, Senior Quality Assurance Lead at BKV, Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at Access Insurance, Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at RaceTrac Petroleum, and Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at Realtime Gaming. In these roles, they gained experience in managing QA projects, mentoring teams, and conducting various types of testing.

Michael Brookins attended multiple educational institutions and obtained certifications throughout their career. Michael received their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Middle Georgia State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Science degree in Information Technology at GMC - Georgia Military College, attending from 1999 to 2000. In the earlier years of their education, Michael pursued Drama/Theatre Arts and Stagecraft at Georgia College & State University from 1991 to 1995, although they did not complete a specific degree in that field.

Additionally, Michael has acquired several certifications to enhance their skill set. Michael obtained the Jenkins - Fundamentals Certificate from CloudBees, Inc. in February 2021. In December 2020, they earned the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate from the Association for Testing & Software Quality Assurance. Furthermore, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in April 2020. Lastly, they achieved the Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2020.
