Désirée Lichtenstein

Désirée Lichtenstein is a medical doctor and passionate advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Currently a doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet, they focus on barriers to reproductive autonomy and health equity. With extensive experience in humanitarian and development settings, they previously worked with the UN and co-founded Women in Global Health to promote gender equality in global health leadership. Désirée has held various roles, including Deputy Head of the SRHR unit at Region Stockholm and board member of RFSU, reflecting their commitment to improving access to health services.
