Sara Österlund is a Senior SRHR Policy Advisor at RFSU/IPPF Sweden, where they have been working since 2017. With 20 years of experience in policy advocacy and programming focused on human rights, children's rights, gender, health, and sexual and reproductive health and rights, they have developed technical expertise in global health, LGBTQI issues, and gender equality. Prior to their current role, they served as a Child Rights/SRHR Policy Advisor at Plan International and held various other positions related to program management and youth empowerment. Sara earned their degree from Uppsala Universitet and has also been involved as a volunteer staff member with Röda Korsets Ungdomsförbund.
