Eric Walta

Eric Walta is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in the reinsurance and annuity sectors. Currently serving as Vice President & Managing Actuary of Global Modeling and Operations at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated since October 2009, Eric leads a team of 43 professionals, driving the strategic vision for non-traditional reinsurance solutions, particularly in deferred annuity and longevity. Eric's previous roles include Vice President & Appointed Actuary for AURORA NATIONAL LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY, and various positions at ING, where responsibilities encompassed pricing, risk assessment, and product development for annuity offerings. Eric possesses a solid educational background with a BSBA in Actuarial Science from Drake University. Career highlights include presentations at industry conferences and recognition as “Employee of the Year” in 2008 at ING.
