Manuel Santos

Manuel Santos has over 30 years of experience in the actuarial field, with a focus on life reinsurance pricing and risk analysis. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior Actuary at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated since 1998, Manuel Santos specializes in longevity, asset-intensive, and financial reinsurance structures. Prior roles at the same organization include Vice President and Managing Actuary, as well as Vice President and Actuary, where responsibilities included developing pricing standards and improving analytical tools. Previous experience includes positions at Manulife, where leadership in actuarial contribution analysis was demonstrated during the demutualization process, and at Independent Order of Foresters, where a liability model for policy valuation was developed. Manuel Santos holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo.
