Peter Hovard

Peter Hovard is a seasoned behavioural scientist with extensive experience in leading research and consultancy within the insurance industry. Currently serving as the Lead Behavioural Scientist at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated since January 2020, Peter Hovard spearheads global initiatives to enhance product effectiveness and customer engagement across the insurance value chain. Previously, Peter Hovard was the Behavioural Science Lead at RSA, where the establishment of the organization’s first behavioural science capability addressed various business challenges through research and interventions. Peter Hovard’s earlier role as Researcher at NatCen Social Research involved managing significant health surveys. Peter Hovard holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Psychology with a focus on Dietary Behaviour and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with American Studies, both from the University of Sussex.
