Kevin Spencer

Kevin Spencer has extensive experience in the field of communications engineering and system integration. Kevin is currently working at RGNext as a Principal System Engineer and Communications IPT Lead. In this role, they are responsible for establishing communications architecture and functionality to support new and existing Space Vehicle launch customers. Kevin also serves as the Space Force Program liaison, overseeing communications projects, program risks, and new requirements on the Eastern Launch and Test Range System.

Prior to their current position, Kevin worked at L3Harris Technologies as a Senior System Integration and Test Engineer from 2018 to 2021. Here, they established and conducted test methodologies in RF Communications and networking, conducted propagation analysis, and developed system level architectures.

From 2016 to 2017, Kevin worked at GE Transportation as a Lead Systems Engineer, where they focused on the design and testing of Radio and Networking systems to support Railroad Transportation. Kevin also developed test plans and created product requirements and system specifications for Onboard Communications products.

Before joining GE Transportation, Kevin was the Lead Communications Engineer at Alstom Transport, LLC in 2015 and at GE Transportation from 2010 to 2015. In these roles, they were involved in creating system functional specifications, conducting design reviews, and creating communications design documents for Railroad Customers.

Kevin's early experience includes working at Lockheed Martin Global Training & Logistics (formerly STS) from 2001 to 2010. Here, they served as a Senior Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer on various projects, including the F35 Joint Strike Fighter Program and Range Standardization & Automation and Spacelift Range Support Contracts. In these roles, Kevin fulfilled responsibilities such as being a Scrum Master, preparing system design documents, conducting use case analysis, and leading integrated product teams. Kevin also designed and tested a 900 MHz Radio network.

Kevin Spencer completed their Master's degree in Systems Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management, which they pursued from 2000 to 2004.
