Chris Nelson

Chris Nelson's work experience starts with their current position as an Embedded Software Engineer at Rhombus, which they started in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Amazon from November 2021 to April 2023. Before joining Amazon, Chris had a long tenure at WECO, Woodside Electronics Corporation "The Science of Optical Sorting". Chris served as a Lead Project Engineer from January 2014 to November 2021, an Electrical Engineer from October 2011 to October 2014, and an Intern from June 2011 to October 2011.

Chris Nelson obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electronics and software design from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in machine learning, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization. These certifications were earned from Coursera, with the most recent being completed in February 2020.
