Dave Gustafson

Co-founder & VP of Hardware at Rhombus Systems

Dave Gustafson has an extensive work experience beginning in 2002. Dave started as a Mayfield Fellows Intern at Palm, Inc. in 2002. In 2004, they took on the role of Product Designer at Vestal Design Atelier. In 2005, they became a Mechanical Engineer at Acorn Product Development, where they were responsible for mechanical design and engineering of consumer and telecom products. In the same year, they also became a Lecturer at Stanford University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. From 2007 to 2014, they worked at frog as a Principal Mechanical Engineer and Senior Mechanical Engineer. In 2014, they moved to Skycatch as a Lead Mechanical Engineer, where they worked on a platform for capturing data using autonomous aerial robots. Finally, in 2016 they became Co-founder and VP of Hardware at Rhombus, where they worked on cloud managed video security and IoT sensors built specifically for the enterprise and IT.

Dave Gustafson received their Bachelor of Science in Product Design from Stanford University in 2002 and their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2004.
