Sam Acayan

Sam Acayan has a diverse work experience in various roles. Sam started their career in 2016 as a Hostess at 33rd Street Bistro, where they managed guest inquiries and developed customer rapport. Sam later worked as a Food Runner and Busser, providing support to wait staff and maintaining cleanliness of service areas.

In 2020, they served as a Campaign Intern for Matt Ceccato for County Supervisor, assisting with day-to-day responsibilities and representing the campaign at community events.

At Zócalo Restaurant, they worked as a Food Server, promoting menu items and providing exceptional customer service. Sam also served as a Busser, helping with overall cleanliness and supporting other areas of the restaurant.

From 2020 to 2022, Sam worked at Warby Parker, first as a Temporary Key Holder and later as a Sales Advisor. Sam supervised employees, balanced the cash register, and contributed to the company's retail environment.

At J.Crew, they were an Assistant Manager from July 2022 to November 2022. Sam provided excellent customer service, directed and supervised employees, and delegated tasks.

In their most recent role, Sam works as a Business Development Representative at Rhombus, starting in February 2023.

Throughout their work experience, Sam has demonstrated strong customer service skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to achieving goals.

Sam Acayan attended California State University-Sacramento from 2015 to 2022. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Services. In October 2020, Sam also obtained a certification in Human Subjects Research for Undergraduate and Master's Students from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
