Dakota Wright

Dakota Wright has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and compliance. They started their career as a Compliance Intern at IT Security, Oklahoma State University in 2016, where they monitored network activity, aided in hardware disposal, and documented copyright infringement violations. In 2017, they joined Mitratech as a Security Risk & Compliance Analyst, responsible for conducting security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments, as well as assisting with achieving and maintaining framework certifications and compliance obligations. In 2019, Dakota took on the role of Cybersecurity Program Lead, where they conducted tests and audits to identify and mitigate cloud environment threats, and established and led several security teams within Mitratech. From 2021 to 2023, Dakota served as a Security Operations Analyst II, implementing and operating security systems, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring operational continuity during acquisitions. In 2023, they joined Rhymetec as a Cloud Compliance Analyst.

Dakota Wright attended Oklahoma State University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems with a focus on Information Assurance. After completing their undergraduate studies, Dakota went on to earn additional certifications. In February 2021, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ Certification from CompTIA. Later, in June 2022, Dakota successfully obtained the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)².
