Andy Sontag

Andy Sontag is an accomplished technology leader with significant experience in the life sciences sector, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Information Technology at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc. since July 2019. Andy has a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive enterprise technology strategies, supporting Pre-Commercial and Multiple Commercial launches globally. Prior roles include Executive Director at Bioverativ, where Andy established IT strategies post-Biogen spinoff, and various leadership positions at Shire, where responsibilities encompassed IT integration during mergers and overseeing global technical operations. Andy’s earlier career includes senior roles at Boston Scientific, AstraZeneca, and other organizations, focusing on clinical operations, information systems, and project management. Andy holds an MBA with a focus on Marketing from Nichols College and a BA in Information Management from Central New England College.
