Head, Ribbon Research Labs at Ribbon Communications

Chip Boyle has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Chip currently holds the position of Head of Ribbon Research Labs at Ribbon Communications since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Systems Engineering at Ribbon Communications since March 2019.

Before joining Ribbon Communications, Chip was a Co-Founder and VP of Systems Engineering at Anova Data, Inc from June 2015 to February 2019. Anova Data was later acquired by Ribbon Communications.

From August 2012 to June 2015, Chip worked at Movik Networks as the VP of Systems Engineering. Chip also held the role of Co-Founder during this time. Chip further served as the Director of Software from January 2008 to July 2012 at Movik Networks.

In addition, Chip has experience working as an Owner and SW Consultant at CHASM Consulting, Inc from January 2006 to December 2007, and as a Consulting SW Engineer at Telsima from June 2004 to February 2006. Chip also worked as a Principal SW Engineer at Airvana from January 2004 to June 2004.

Earlier in their career, Chip was employed at Coriolis Networks as a Software Engineering Manager and Principal SW Engineer from October 1999 to January 2004. Chip held the role of Senior SW Engineer at Nokia from March 1998 to October 1999, and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from January 1995 to March 1998. Chip began their career as a SW Engineer I at Motorola Codex from January 1994 to January 1995.

Chip Boyle completed their education in Computer Science with a Master's degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1989 to 1994.
