Nigel Hall has over 20 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Nigel began their career as a Science/Physics teacher at Bucks LEA in 1994. After that, they worked as a Production Engineer at Datapulse, where they assembled computers and installed operating systems and applications. Nigel then joined Nortel as a Senior Instructor in 1999, delivering courses on various Nortel equipment and becoming an accredited instructor for VOIP Call Server and CCS7 equipment. Nigel took on a similar role as a Senior Instructor at Avaya, where they created, updated, and delivered training courses on their data product range. Nigel also worked as an Instructor/Developer and Global Lead Instructor for Avaya Data at Sumaria Networks, LLC. Nigel then served as a Voice Support Engineer at BSkyB, analyzing and rectifying customer issues with telephony and broadband equipment. Nigel joined Genband in 2012 as a Senior Instructor, delivering training courses on Genband VOIP products. After the GENBAND/Sonus merger, they continued in a similar role as a Senior Technical Instructor at Ribbon Communications, designing and delivering training courses on Ribbon VOIP and SBC products. Throughout their career, Nigel has gained experience in lab support work, including installation, fixing, upgrading, and patching, as well as customer interactions.

Nigel Hall completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Birmingham, from 1990 to 1993. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in science/physics secondary from the University of Birmingham, from 1994 to 1995.
