Abha B. has over 13 years of work experience. Abha began their career in 2007 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics. In 2008, they worked as a Research Associate in Computational Biology at the lab of Takis Benos at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2011, Abha moved to UC Berkeley where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology/Biostatistics in the lab of Sandrine Dudoit. Abha then returned to the University of Pittsburgh in 2013, where they worked as a Research Scientist in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics at the Dept. of Developmental Biology. Most recently, in 2021, Abha began working as a Senior Scientist I at Ribometrix Inc.

Abha B. began their educational journey at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where they earned a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computing (5 yr Integrated Master's of Technology) from 1998 to 2003. Abha then continued their studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Biology at the lab of Martin Vingron, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics from 2003 to 2007.
