Mark Ramsay

Mark Ramsay is a Technical Director at Ricardo Ltd with 30 years of experience as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, predominantly in the Waste to Energy sector over the last 15 years. Specialized in Anaerobic Digestion, Energy from Waste, and Waste to Fuels, Mark has successfully managed projects from inception to operation, including a significant AD plant in Hong Kong valued at £240M. Before returning to Ricardo in 2023, Mark was the Engineering Director at Agrivert and has also worked in the defence sector and automotive engineering. Mark has gained recognition both in the UK and internationally, advising the European Commission and the Chinese government on low carbon infrastructure initiatives. Mark holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
