Thomas Fuerstner

Thomas Fuerstner has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent role, starting in 2023, is as a Protocol Designer at RDDL Foundation. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CTO of RIDDLE&CODE, a company involved in public key infrastructure devices and systems. Thomas also has experience as a Visiting Professor of Media Art at Donau-Universität Krems and held the position of Director of Research & Development and Art Director at bwin.party digital entertainment. Additionally, Thomas worked as the Creative Director at marcielo GmbH and as a Univ.Prof. of Digital Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Their earlier roles include serving as the Creative Director at ZKM Karlsruhe, Center for Art and Media, and as the Technical Director at ORF Online. Thomas started their career as the Lead Developer of Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems at Zentralsparkasse Wien.

Thomas Fuerstner attended the Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien from 2001 to 2007, where they earned a Univ.Prof degree in Digital Art.
