Steve Dickerson

Founder at Ridecell

Steve Dickerson has a long and successful career in the field of engineering. Steve started in 1965 as a Professor at Georgia Tech and held the position until their retirement in 1995. In 1990, they founded DVT Corporation, inventing the technology and providing small initial funding. Steve remained a board member until the company was sold for over $100 million in 2005. In 1999, they founded CAMotion, Inc., providing cost effective robotic motion machines. In 2009, they founded RideCell LLC, and was the patent holder for advanced cell-phone support of urban transportation. Finally, in 2010, they founded SoftWear Automation, Inc., a start-up operation devoted to a new technology to totally automate garment (and other sewing) manufacture.

Steve Dickerson received their ScD in Mechanical Engr., automation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1962 and 1965. Steve also received a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 1962 and 1963.
