Rob Hunter

QA Manager at RideCo

Rob Hunter has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Rob started their career as a Payload Assistant at the Canadian Space Agency in 2004. Rob then worked as a Software Developer at ATS Automation Tooling Systems from 2005 to 2006, where they implemented various tools and systems.

In 2006, they joined Schlumberger as a Software Build and Deployment Specialist, where they managed software integration, collaborated with different departments, and contributed to the company's SDLC processes. Rob later took on additional responsibilities as a QA/QC Coordinator and Commercialization Engineering Process Lead, where they managed testing teams, improved software quality, and introduced Agile processes.

In 2014, Rob joined RideCo. On-Demand Transit as a QA Developer Lead, responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's software platform. Rob'stasks included testing and reviewing code, conducting system simulations, and optimizing vehicle routes.

Apart from their corporate roles, Rob also worked as a part-time Math, Science, and Programming Tutor, providing academic support to students from grade 7 to university graduate school.

Rob Hunter earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering (co-op) from the University of Waterloo. Rob attended the university from 2001 to 2006.
