Mason Powers

Mason Powers has a diverse range of work experience. Mason started their career as a Hot Air Balloon Crew member at Grape Escape Balloon Adventure, where they assisted in balloon construction, took atmospheric data, and helped with the landing process. Mason then worked as a Delivery Driver at Stadium Pizza, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining cleanliness.

In 2012, Mason began their mechanical engineering education at the California Maritime Academy, where they served as an Engine Room Watch Engineer, overseeing plant operations and managing a team of engineers. Mason also worked with 300 cadets on board the Training Ship Golden Bear.

Mason furthered their engineering experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at ProTech Thermal Services, where they gained hands-on experience. Mason then joined the University of San Diego (USD) as a USD SAE Baja Fabrication and Team Lead. Additionally, they were part of the Transfer Transition Team, assisting incoming students in their transition to USD.

Mason's most recent role was at FOX Factory, where they held various positions. Starting as a Fox Defense Design Engineering Intern, they then transitioned to roles as a Project Engineer and Mechanical Engineer at FOX, specializing in off-road aftermarket and OEM shock absorber design. Currently, they serve as the Lead Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer II, and Aftermarket Engineering Team Leader, focusing on product development and improving the aftermarket development process.

Mason Powers completed their education in a chronological manner. Mason started by attending the California State University Maritime Academy from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Palomar College in 2014 and studied General Studies. From 2015 to 2017, Mason attended the University of San Diego, where they pursued a double degree program. Mason earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, both in Mechanical Engineering.
