Cris Peck has a diverse work experience in environmental conservation and sustainability. They currently work as a City Manager at Ridwell, where they drive the growth of Ridwell's member base in the South Puget Sound region. Prior to this, they were a Community Launcher for the same company. Cris also worked as a Resident Stewardship Caretaker at Nisqually Land Trust, where they performed habitat restoration activities in exchange for lodging on the property. They also have experience as a Downtown Ambassador and Vegetation Maintenance Technician I at the City of Olympia, where they provided street outreach, business support, and vegetation maintenance services. Additionally, they worked as a Park Aide at Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, a Senior Outreach Associate at 3Degrees Group, Inc., and a Sea Kayak Guide and Naturalist at Kayak Nisqually: Puget Sound Adventures. Cris has also served as a Resident Caretaker at Nisqually Reach Nature Center and held various roles at Nisqually Land Trust, including Outreach Coordinator & Land Steward and Volunteer Coordinator. They began their career as a Student Liaison at the Great Lakes Innovative Stewardship through Education Network and as a Field Research Technician at Hiram College.
Cris Peck completed their high school education at Walnut Hills High School from 2004 to 2008, earning a High School Diploma with a focus in "Stuff and Things." They went on to attend Hiram College from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies. In addition to their formal education, Cris Peck also obtained certifications in First Aid - CPR - BBP - Oxygen Training and Wilderness First Responder from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) in June 2014. They also have a certification in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) from Vivian Eason, CERT Coordinator (FEMA), although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
