Lex Scheepers

Lex Scheepers has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2017, Lex worked as a tutoring teacher and homework tutor at Lyceo. From February 2018 to August 2018, Lex served as a System Engineer in the R&D team at AME (Applied Micro Electronics). Lex's role involved designing mechanical components, conducting qualification tests, and documenting on an academic level. In 2019, Lex joined SOLID, a multidisciplinary team aiming to accelerate the energy transition, as a Technical Manager. They were responsible for overseeing the daily functioning of a 16-member technical team. Additionally, Lex served as a Member of the Advisory Board at SOLID from September 2020 to July 2022. Lex's most recent role is as the Co-founder and CTO of RIFT, a company focused on decarbonizing energy-intensive industries through the development of Iron Fuel Technology™. Their mission is to create clean and circular energy alternatives to fossil fuels.

Lex Scheepers earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering / Energy Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Before attending university, Lex completed Gymnasium VWO Natuur en Techniek at Pius X-College in July 2015. Lex also earned additional certifications in English literature from the International Baccalaureate in July 2015 and in Bilingual Education from the University of Cambridge in May 2012.
