Liene Grike is currently the Lead Project Manager for the Riga Greening Plan, having begun this role in 2024. They previously served as a Senior Expert at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development from 2022 to 2023, and were the Senior Expert and UNFCCC National focal point at the Ministry of Climate and Energy from 2023 to 2024. Prior to these roles, Liene was the Vice-Chair of the WIPO Program and Budget Committee from 2018 to 2019 and worked as an Advisor for Economic and Intellectual Property Affairs at the Permanent Mission of Latvia to the United Nations from 2011 to 2020. Their educational background includes a Bachelor in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Université de Genève.
