Alexander Hill is currently the Director of Quantum Engineering at Rigetti Computing, a position they have held since 2024. They previously served as a Senior Manager and Senior Quantum Systems Engineer at the same company. Hill earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on quantum optics and cryptography. Additionally, they were a Fulbright Fellow in reactor and particle physics at the Petersburg Institute of Nuclear Physics and an NDSEG Fellow with ASEE from 2014 to 2017. Hill completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011.
