Alex McComb

Alex McComb started working as a GIS Technician I at Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in November 2016 and worked until September 2017. In September 2017, Alex was promoted to the role of GIS Developer II and continued in that position until July 2019. During this time, Alex utilized various tools and technologies such as React, Mapbox, Deck.gl, Web AppBuilder, ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Online, HTML, CSS, and Python with Pandas and ArcPy to create web maps, automate data updating and uploading.

After that, Alex joined Impossible Bureau as a Software Engineer in July 2019 and worked until November 2020. Following that, Alex worked at Hoodoo Digital as a Software Engineer II from March 2021 to December 2021.

In 2022, Alex joined Rightpoint and held multiple roles, starting as a Software Engineer II from January 2022 to March 2022, then moved to the position of Software Engineer III from March 2022 to January 2023. Currently, Alex is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Rightpoint starting from January 2023.

Alex McComb has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from the University of Utah. They completed this degree at an unknown time and their education at this institution includes a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Alex also attended Thinkful from 2018 to 2019, where they focused on Full Stack Web Development. In addition to their degree and education, Alex obtained the Leadership Foundations certification from LinkedIn in July 2023.
