Dave Derby

Dave Derby has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of strategy, service design, user experience, and innovation. Dave has held positions at various companies, including NYU Tandon School of Engineering as an Adjunct Professor and Rightpoint as the Director of Strategy and Service Design. Dave has also worked at New York University as an Assistant Adjunct Professor, where they co-taught a graduate-level course in User Experience Design. In addition, they have held roles at TandemSeven, Genpact, Cognizant, ADP, John Wiley and Sons, Draftfcb, and DraftFcb Healthcare, where they led teams, implemented design thinking strategies, and oversaw the discovery and design process for various products and services.

Dave Derby pursued their higher education at different institutions. From 1999 to 2000, they attended New York University, where they obtained a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree in Interactive Telecommunications. Prior to that, they had also completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Yale University, although the exact dates are unspecified. Additionally, Dave has recently obtained certifications in Graphic Design Foundations: Layout and Composition and Social Media Marketing Foundations from LinkedIn in August 2022.
