Mike E Underwood

Mike E Underwood has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Mike E started their career as a Software Engineer at Universal Microsystems, Inc in 1987 and worked there until 1990. Mike E then moved on to Sales Technologies where they worked as a Software Engineer for a year. In 1991, Mike joined BSD - Building Systems Design, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and led major software projects in building cost estimation and facility management. Mike E was also the co-architect and lead developer for the BSD SpecLink product offering. After leaving BSD in 1999, Mike joined CheckFree Corporation (now a part of Fiserv) as a Senior Software Engineer and later became a Software Architect. Mike E worked on various projects including designing and implementing B2B payment and invoicing platforms. In 2008, they transitioned to Fiserv as a Principal Solutions Architect and later took on a managerial role as the Manager & Lead Senior Software Architect for the Biller Solutions division. Mike E was responsible for establishing architecture roadmaps and managing a team of architects. Mike then joined AXIS Capital in 2018 as an Application Delivery Lead, where they worked until the end of 2019. Currently, Mike is working as a Solutions Architect at Rightpoint, starting in January 2020.

Mike E Underwood has a master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business, which they obtained between 1987 and 1989. Prior to that, they completed their bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from the same institution, graduating between 1983 and 1986. In addition to their formal education, Mike E Underwood has obtained certifications in Cloud Architecture: Core Concepts and Creating Your IT Strategy from LinkedIn in October 2018.
