Simon Laing

Simon Laing has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Simon currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Interocean Marine Services Limited. Prior to this role, they served as the Finance Director at Wyman Gordon, where they managed the finance department and was responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Simon also worked as a Financial Controller at Heliex Power Limited, overseeing the finance function and managing audit and statutory accounts preparation. In addition, Simon has experience as an Interim Group Financial Controller at T.O.M. Vehicle Rental, overseeing a group of companies and managing a team of 25. Simon also served as a Finance Director at SGL Systems International, where they grew the business from £4M to £20M in turnover and provided financial support and analysis to divisional GMs. Simon started their career as a Finance Accountant at Clydesdale Bank and later worked at Deutsche Bank and National Australia Group in various financial roles. Simon has a strong background in financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.

Simon Laing has pursued education at ACCA and the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. Simon holds additional certifications, including RYA level 2 from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in 2013 and a Certificate in International Financial Reporting from ACCA.
