Keith Frederick

Keith Frederick is the current Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at RigNet. Keith has held this position since November of 2017. Prior to their current role, Keith served RigNet as their CISO from May of 2021 to November of 2017. In this role, Keith was responsible for developing security policies and procedures, overseeing a staff of security employees, and acting as the organization's representative for inquiries regarding security strategy. Keith has also worked extensively with various information security systems, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Authorization and Assessment (A&A), FedRAMP (Cloud Technology), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Security Control Assessor (SCA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) (CIP), Industrial Control Systems (ISC), SCADA, and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Keith has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing him to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Keith is also willing to participate in cross-functional training and support.

Keith Frederick has a BS in EE from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA in Business Operations from Our Lady of the Lake University. Keith is also certified by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) as a Registered Practitioner, by EC-Council as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), by Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP), by ISACA as a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and by (ISC)² as both a Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
