Lelio Souza

Vice President, Intelie at RigNet

Lelio Souza is the current Vice President of Intelie at RigNet. Lelio has held this position since November 2021. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Escola Pedra da Gávea from April 2016 to November 2021.

Lelio has been with Intelie since its inception in 2008. Lelio started with the company as a research activity on event correlation in real time and anomaly detection. Lelio quickly expanded their scope over business processes and eventually became the CEO of the company.

Under Lelio's leadership, Intelie has won numerous awards, including the award for best paper at the 25th Symposium On Applied Computing in Switzerland and the award for best TIC infrastructure solution for ASSESPRO-RJ. In addition, Lelio has been instrumental in helping Intelie grow from a small startup into a successful company with a strong market position in Brazil and abroad.

Looking to the future, Lelio's goals are to continue growing Intelie by expanding its distribution model with partners and raising funding to accelerate its growth potential.

Lelio Souza has a private equity and venture capital background in finance and general management from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa. Lelio also has a CEO Summit certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in business administration and management. Furthermore, they have a certificate in strategic value of customer relationships from The Wharton School and a certificate in business dynamics from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa. Lelio also has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Finally, they have three Coursera course certificates in data science: a crash course in data science, building a data science team, and strategic thinking and management for competitive advantage.

Lelio Souza reports to Steven E. Pickett, President & CEO. They work with Errol Olivier - Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jackson Markley - Vice President, Corporate Development, and Keith Frederick - Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
