Anders Hougaard

Anders Hougaard is the Head of Research and Senior Consultant Neurologist at Herlev og Gentofte Hospital, and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, UCPH. They specialize in neurology, neurovascular disorders, and neuroscience, focusing on migraine pathophysiology through clinical research. Previously, Anders served as a Consultant Neurologist at Rigshospitalet and held various MD residency positions, including at the General Medical Practice and the Department of Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Nephrology. They began their career as a Systems Consultant at TDC and worked as a Research Assistant for the Danish Cancer Society. Anders holds an MD and PhD from the University of Copenhagen.
