Figen Solmaz

Figen Solmaz is an experienced producer in the stage arts sector, currently working at Riksteatern since March 2022. As the founder and owner of Glocal Stories since February 2016, Figen offers production, consulting, and networking services in the cultural industry, focusing on delivering stage productions tailored to specific audience needs. Extensive experience at Riksteatern from 2007 to 2016 included managing a diverse range of productions and contributing to international programming, audience development, and network building. Figen has also served as a director at Årsta Folkets Hus and co-founded Riksteaterföreningen söder om Söder-Årsta. Previous roles included being a columnist for Özgur Politika and a teacher's aide at Förskolan Fröhuset. Figen holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media from Gazi University.
