Mariana Costa Checa

Mariana Costa Checa is a prominent leader in the field of women's empowerment and economic development in Latin America, currently serving as Co-Founder of Laboratoria+ since May 2023, a community focused on enhancing leadership skills among women. As Co-founder and former CEO of Laboratoria since March 2014, Mariana has played a crucial role in providing women with immersive technical and life skills training to bolster their careers. Mariana’s extensive experience also includes positions such as Directora at Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros and AVP Ventures, and membership on the board of Es Hoy. Previous experiences include contributions as Program Development Manager at TechnoServe, and Project Coordinator for the Organization of American States. Educated at institutions such as Columbia University and The London School of Economics, Mariana’s efforts have consistently aimed at fostering inclusivity and opportunity through education and technology.
