Nick Aitken

Nick Aitken is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in forensic engineering and consultancy. Currently serving as a Forensic Engineering Consultant at Edif ERA since February 2011, Nick Aitken provides specialized engineering consultancy in electrical and mechanical failure analysis, offering expert witness services for various industrial and consumer products. In parallel, Aitken has held the position of Senior Consultant at RINA since February 2011. Previously, Aitken worked as an Applications Engineer and later as an Application and Product Development Engineer at Applied Microengineering Ltd from February 2003 to January 2011, contributing expertise in wafer bonding and wafer level packaging technologies. Aitken's career also includes a role as a Development Engineer at Spectraprobe Ltd from September 1999 to October 2002, focusing on the development of infrared spectroscopy equipment. Aitken holds a BSc and MSc in Applied Physics from the University of Durham, completed between 1994 and 1998.
