Axel Konjack

Axel Konjack (b. 1969) is Head of Global Marketplaces and a member of the Group Executive Board of Ringier AG, starting February 2021. He is responsible for strategic leadership as well as the operational portfolio and investment management of Ringier Marketplaces in Switzerland, eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. Along with the Swiss market leaders, Scout and JobCloud Group, this includes numerous digital marketplaces in the property, car, jobs and horizontals segments.

Axel Konjack joined Ringier AG as Chief Operating Officer for the division in 2018. Prior to joining Ringier, he was the CEO of Switzerland’s Homegate Group from 2015. Between 1998 and 2015, Axel Konjack held a range of management positions for the German media company Axel Springer. He was responsible for managing the public-private partnership of the official city portal for Hamburg, hamburg.de, made a major contribution to the establishment and expansion of the property portal immonet.de, and was Head of Internet at Axel Springer. Axel Konjack began his career at Axel Springer in 1997 with a trainee programme in the Electronic Media division and in business development. From 1998, he was involved in the development and implementation of the company’s digital strategy, and served as project manager for a range of digital and restructuring projects. Axel Konjack holds a degree in business administration, having studied in Frankfurt and Lyon following training in advertising sales in Hamburg.
