Amra Basic

Amra Basic is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience at Rio Tinto since January 2007, currently serving as Vice President of People for Rio Tinto Aluminium. Prior roles include Head of People Experience, Acting Vice President of Human Resources for various sectors, and General Manager of Human Resources across multiple divisions. Amra has been instrumental in developing people strategies and advising the Executive Committee while managing corporate functions. Previous experience includes leadership positions at NICE inContact and Transtel Communications, where Amra oversaw comprehensive HR functions and implemented key programs. Amra holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Accounting from the University of Utah, complemented by executive education from Harvard Business School.
