Benjamin Echard

Benjamin Echard is an experienced asset management and integrity professional with a diverse background in the mining and energy sectors. Currently serving as Manager of Asset Management & Project at Rio Tinto since March 2024, Benjamin oversees a team of 250 professionals and is responsible for the operational and capital expenditures of an ilmenite mining complex. Prior to this role, Benjamin was Superintendent of Asset Integrity at Ambatovy Joint-Venture, where the focus was on maintaining the integrity of critical assets in a nickel hydrometalurgical plant. Earlier experience at Vale included roles as Manager and Superintendent of Asset Management & Integrity, and as an Engineer in Asset Integrity. Benjamin's career began at CEA, specializing in R&D. Educational qualifications include a High School Diploma in Engineering from Ecole des Mines d'Alès and a DUT in Mesures Physiques from Aix-Marseille University.
