Cate Sims

Cate Sims serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation since January 2017, focusing on the management of the not-for-profit organization and overseeing the implementation of 30 indigenous education programs across Australia. Prior to this role, Cate held positions at Rio Tinto from 2006 to 2011, including Specialist Aboriginal Relations and Senior Advisor Aboriginal Relations, where responsibilities included fostering an enabling environment for effective engagement and capacity-building initiatives. Education includes a high school diploma from Siena College Perth WA and degrees in Social Science and a Graduate Diploma in Management, Community Organization and Advocacy from the University of Western Australia and Edith Cowan University.
