Mathie Hoffman

Mathie Hoffman is an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager currently leading the HSE initiative for the SIMFER Mine Construction at the Simandou project. With a robust background in the mining and metals industry, Mathie has held various roles, including SHEQ Manager at Samancor Chrome and HSE Manager at Newmont Mining Corporation. They began their career in Ventilation Engineering, which fostered a deep understanding of operational challenges and risks. Mathie has successfully implemented management systems and frameworks across multiple projects, showcasing a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. They hold a National Diploma in Safety Management from the University of South Africa.
