Patrick Barrette has extensive experience in the fields of customer service, international business consultancy, and academia. Currently serving as an Analyste Gestion du Métal and previously as Chef d’équipe service clients at Rio Tinto since February 2018, Patrick has also held the position of Conseiller en affaires internationales at the Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation du Québec from March 2017 to February 2018. Prior roles include Customer Service Representative at Rio Tinto and a part-time lecturer at UQAM, where courses on contemporary international systems and Canadian defense policy were taught. Research experience includes a traineeship at the European Economic and Social Committee, focusing on EU energy and environmental issues. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Université de Montréal, along with doctoral studies at UQAM.
