Simon Thexton

Simon Thexton is currently the Senior Corporate Counsel for Competition at Rio Tinto, where they lead global antitrust matters across the company's operations and support strategic mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Simon served as a Senior Associate in the Antitrust team at Shearman & Sterling LLP, focusing on various aspects of antitrust law, and was a legal secondee at the Competition and Markets Authority. Simon holds multiple degrees from King's College London, including a First Class Honours LLB and a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law, alongside a distinction in the LPC from Kaplan Law School.
