Stuart Rech possesses extensive experience in environmental management within the mining sector, currently serving as an Environment Advisor at Rio Tinto since February 2022, overseeing environmental impact management at the Amrun mine and ensuring compliance with environmental standards at the Bell Bay aluminium smelter. Previously, Stuart worked as a Graduate Environmental Officer at Anglo American, where responsibilities included monitoring operations, contractor management, and drafting environmental management plans. Stuart's background also includes legal review work and research relating to environmental compliance, alongside academic qualifications in Environmental Science and Law from Griffith University and The College of Law Australia.
